PCA peels are unique in that they are not neutralized, washed off or timed. They are self neutralizing and are left on the skin. The depth and strength of the individual peel is determined by the number of layers applied.

PCA Skin Post-Procedure Solution

This solution is designed to soothe and hydrate the skin after any PCA Skin Chemical peel or professional treatment, microdermabrasion, non-ablative laser or IPL treatment.

Use until peeling has resolved, typically to 5 days. For those with more sensitive skin or after more intensive treatments, consider using the post-procedure regimen for 10 days. Apres Peel Soothing Balm should only be used for seven day intervals.

Cleanse with a dime-sized amount of Facial Wash. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Apply a nickel-sized mixture of Apres Peel Soothing Balm (0.5% hydrocortisone) and ReBalance to help inhibit redness and inflammation.
Apply a nickel-sized amount of Protecting Hydrator SPF 30 for daytime moisture and broad-spectrum UV protection.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 as necessary to keep the skin lubricated, protected and comfortable throughout the day.

evening

Cleanse with a dime-sized amount of Facial Wash. Rinse with warm water and paty dry.
Apply a nickel-sized mixture of Apres Peel Soothing Balm (0.5% hydrocortisone) and ReBalance.
Apply a nickel-sized amount of Silkcoat balm as a nighttime moisturizing treatment for your skin.

NOTE:

IF YOUR PHYSICIAN OR SKIN CARE PROFESSIONAL HAS MADE RECOMMENDATIONS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE STATED ABOVE, PLEASE FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF YOUR CLINICIAN.

ONCE YOUR SKIN HAS RETURNED TO NORMAL RESUME YOUR REGULAR PCA SKIN DAILY CARE REGIMEN AS RECOMMENDED BY YOUR CLINICIAN.

DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER PROCEDURE UNTIL YOUR CLINICIAN ADVISES YOU TO DO SO.

PEELS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR WOMEN WHO ARE PREGNANT OR LACTATING. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR PRIOR TO STARTING ANY TREATMENT.

POST-PROCEDURE SKIN TREATMENT TIPS

For two days post-procedure

Stay cool! Heating internally can cause hyperpigmentation

do not put your face directly into a hot shower spray
do not use a hot tub, steam room or sauna
do not participate in activities that will cause excessive persipration
do not use loofahs or other means of mechanical exfoliation on the treated area(s)
do not direct a hair dryer onto the treated area(s)
do not apply ice or ice water to treated area(s)

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Do not pick or pull any loosening or exfoliating skin. This could cause hyper pigmentation.
Discontinue use of Retine-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac five days post treatment. (Consult your physician prior to temporarily discontinuing prescribed medications).
Do not have electrolysis, facial injections, facial waxing or use depilatories for approximately five days or more.
ABSOLUTELY do not go to a tanning booth for at least three weeks before or after a treatment. This practice should be discontinued due to the increased risk of skin cancer and signs of aging.
As recommended above DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER PROCEDURE UNTIL YOUR CLINICIAN ADVISES YOU TO DO SO.
